Welcome to ThreadYard.org, a non-profit community archive of vintage apparel. By using the site or creating an account, you agree to these terms.

Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old to join.
• One account per person.

What you post

By submitting photos you give ThreadYard permission to store, show, resize and copy them on the site and in its backups, forever. This permission is free, global, and lets ThreadYard keep showing an entry after it has been approved, so the archive stays complete. ThreadYard may use these photos for marketing purposes on the site, such as featuring them in highlights, special articles and similar activities.

Only post what you have the right to post. That means photos you took yourself, or photos you have permission to use. Don't post other people's photos, for example copied from a shop or another collector, without their permission.

Do your best to make the details accurate. Other members and moderators may suggest corrections.

Be a good member

Don't use ThreadYard to:

• harass, threaten, bully or impersonate anyone;
• post anything hateful, sexual, violent or illegal;
• spam, advertise, or sell outside of the marketplace;
• post anyone's private information;
• knowingly post fakes or reproductions as originals;
• get around a suspension, limits, the captcha check, or the site's security, or scrape or overload the site.

Moderation

Submissions are reviewed by volunteer moderators before they're published. Moderators can edit, decline, unpublish or remove content, and suspend accounts that break these terms. We try to be fair and explain our decisions, but they're ours to make. If you think we got something wrong, reply through the site or email support ~at~ threadyard.org.

Copyright complaints

If you believe something on the site uses your work without permission, email support ~at~ threadyard.org with a link to it, a description of your work, and your contact details. We'll remove it if the complaint is valid. Members who repeatedly post others' work in violation outside fair use doctrine will lose their accounts.

Closing your account

To close your account, email us from the address on your account or at the above support address.

Trademarks and brands

Brand names, logos and artwork shown on shirts and tags belong to their owners. They appear here only to document and identify vintage apparel. ThreadYard isn't connected with or endorsed by those companies.

No guarantees

ThreadYard is provided "as is", by volunteers. We do our best to keep it running and accurate, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that every detail is correct. Don't rely on the archive alone when buying or selling clothing. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for losses from using the site, or for what members post.

Changes

We may update these terms as the site grows. We'll update the date at the top, and tell members in their Inbox about important changes. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
